HVAC Technician
We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ventilation systems, and refrigeration units.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to extend system life and reduce breakdowns.
- Calibrate thermostats, replace filters, and test system functionality.
- Handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA standards and company procedures.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used, and customer recommendations.
- Educate customers on system care, energy efficiency, and available service plans.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal HVAC codes, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical school or HVAC certification preferred).
- Current HVAC Technician license (state-specific requirements apply; EPA 608 certification required).
- 2+ years of HVAC experience in installation, maintenance, or repair (preferred).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical controls.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work in a variety of environments, including tight spaces, rooftops, and outdoor weather conditions.
- Stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders as needed.
